PHILADELPHIA PAINTER PRESENTS INTERNET BLOG FOR HIS NOVELS
PHILADELPHIA, PA – Painter William Kosman today announced a new internet blog – kosmanfiction.blogspot.com – to present his novels to readers, and he introduced his novel, “It Hurts to Say Goodbye,” a murder-mystery that takes place in Philadelphia’s poetry scene. Kosman plans to present several chapters per week.
Presenting his fiction on-line complements Kosman’s other ongoing artistic activities, such as poetry, rap videos on YouTube.com, and – of course – painting. For example, during January at the Old City Jewish Art Center in Philadelphia, Kosman combined painting and poetry in an exhibit entitled “Love Thy Neighbor as Thyself.” He recited several poems while exhibiting paintings of the texts’ themes.
Kosman has been writing novels for years. Some years ago, he self-published the novel “The Picasso Paradigm,” a murder-mystery about technology companies fighting over advances in nanotechnology. The novel is available from AuthorHouse and Amazon.
“It sounds crazy, but my history is repeating itself,” Kosman said. “When I wrote ‘The Picasso Paradigm,’ I used the process of writing to take my mind off a stressful period in my life. And, at the beginning of the pandemic, I decided I needed a project to keep my mind off COVID19, so I threw myself into writing two new novels. ”
Kosman paints urban scenes to show the courage and beauty of people as they confront life. During the summer, Kosman paints landscapes of the villages, fields and beaches of Normandy, France, to show the beauty of nature. Kosman has exhibited in several Philadelphia venues, including the Show of Hands gallery, the Alliance Francaise, the Woodmere Art Museum, the former ArtWorks at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Old City Jewish Art Center.
His works grace the homes of families on the East and West coasts of the United States and in France and Germany. Kosman also creates rap videos that use his paintings. Among many courses and workshops, Kosman studied at the Art Students’ League in New York, the Fleisher Art Memorial in Philadelphia, where he received among other awards the coveted Fred and Naomi Hazell Award for both 2006 and 2007, and with the painter Jean-Marie Creuzeau, in Fresnes, France. Kosman has written an artist’s blog –williamkosman.blogspot.com – for 17 years. His website is ww.williamkosman.com, and his YouTube channel is www.YouTube.com/billkosman.
